A Kentuckian by birth and reputation, it only took Ty Johnston 20 years to escape the spice mines of Kessel that is modern newspaper journalism. During his time in servitude, he managed to sneak in the occasional short story or three, but it has only been the last couple of years that he has thrown off the yoke of being indentured for the freedom of a freelance writer and fiction author. He is the creator of The Kobalos Trilogy of epic fantasy novels, as well as The Sword of Bayne trilogy of short novels. His stories have appeared in print and digital formats, most notoriously in the anthologies Return of the Sword and Demons: A Clash of Steel Anthology. Ty’s main writing and reading interests generally are in the horror and fantasy genres, but he also enjoys branching out into literary works from time to time. He is married, and quite often asks himself how she puts up with him. Then there’s the beagle and the two house rabbits.
