RotB is smoking HOT!
Rage of the Behemoth scores another resoundingly strong review, this time from Luke Forney of Luke Reviews.
…a well-rounded anthology that captures a huge variety of settings, gathers a collection of strong characters, and then explodes with action and tight plots.”
Luke came to RBE though posts at Black Gate, and requested a copy of RotB for review. He promised to post by May 15th, and that he did despite a move and intermittent internet access.
…Rage of the Behemoth isn’t just a solid heroic adventure fantasy anthology, but an excellent anthology of fantasy without the sub-genre trappings, and worth a look even for the non-fantasy fans among us.
Though I don’t know how there could be any non-fantasy fans among us, I’m glad to agree. In addition to thoughts of the anthology as a whole, almost every story gets a look from Luke. While obviously more excited about some than others, he labels none subpar. And this, good friends, is something to be most proud of: RotB is regularly praised for its consistency, regularly recognized for having uniformly delightful tales of heroic adventure…RBE’s goal for every title.

Excellent review. 9/10 ain’t too shabby at all. Continued kudos to Mr. Waltz for putting together such a great antho.
Thanks for the kudos Bruce, but without the stories of you and 20 others, RotB isn’t scoring 9/10 anywhere! It’s the quality of the contents that earned that.
