The winning entry will also be that entry that best remembers that the original call for submissions promised that “CoS tales should be powerful, action-oriented tales of steel versus sorcery – in this particular case, strength of man versus spawn of hell!” I can promise you that each and every one of these stories does just this! There are numerous twists, surprising puzzles, humorous outcomes, and messy deaths galore. There are 28 demons and 28 heroes…or are there? Sometimes demons come in many numbers…and many forms…In the end, no matter the style in which delivered nor the resolution in which climaxed, this anthology is about far more than the individual battles of any particular story. This anthology is about the root of all battles – Evil. Demons: A Clash of Steel Anthology is about pure evil – and what it takes to overcome it. Or succumb to it.

This contest will run until the manuscript is ready to be sent to the printer. This will be no longer than necessary; it could be as short as three weeks. So take your best shot at writing the words to entice future readers!

• Only contest entries submitted via this contest form will be accepted. Submissions through this form should receive an automated acknowledgment of receipt. If you do not receive such receipt within 24 hours, you may query via the RBE Contact form. Submissions received in any other manner will not be acknowledged or accepted.
• Word count will be checked first, and any entries drastically exceeding the 150 word limit will be eliminated without notification.
• At the close of the contest, the author of the winning entry will be contacted in order to confirm the name he/she wishes credited on the copyright page and his/her mailing address. Once this confirmation has occurred, the winning author’s name will be announced on the RBE website.
