RotB is Alive!

Quick note to all that I hold in my hands the RotB proof!

Slightly behind schedule, but recovering nicely :)

Now to inspect it. A quick once-over reveals that the cover needs to be lightened, a font restored, and interior art tweaked — but all-in-all, I’m very happy indeed.

Final numbers come in at 356 pages and over 150k in words. No matter what the critics say ;) , there’s 21 awesome stories, a fantastic forward and inspiring introduction, and totally sweet cover art with a terrific blurb from E.E. Knight on the front and 6 different back cover blurbs from folks like Richard Horton, John Ottinger, Nathan Meyer, Theodore Beale, Peadar O. Guilin, and Aaron Bradford Starr.

Now to get the final text and cover files adjusted, converted, and submitted to the printers…all while working overtime at the bill-paying job, packing and moving from one house to another where I’ll have to finish a bedroom and a bathroom, over a holiday weekend…atop the normal daily life of kids and family schedules.

So keep all them fingers crossed, please!

About The Author

Jason
Jason M. Waltz is the founder and sole operator of RBE. A passion for heroic adventure fantasy drove him from comfortably reading it to sometimes writing it to occasionally reviewing it to carefully editing it to enthusiastically publishing it. Jason believes two things about the state of genre fiction: there will soon be a resurgence in the popularity of short fiction and in the popularity of heroic fantasy adventure, to include Sword & Sorcery. Jason plans for RBE to be a driving force in both.
